Iran has been busy building an almost-full-sized mock up of an American Nimitz Class carrier. Nobody really knows why; perhaps as a movie prop, perhaps for military training, perhaps for propaganda. Populating the flight deck are some Iranian F-5s, though they don't exist in a carrier variant. The other planes are copies of F/A-18s, and they've gone so far as to replicate the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! squadron markings on one of the mock F/A-18s. Perhaps they are going to operate their !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from it?

I'm not sure if I should be impressed or not. If it is for a movie then that is one heck of a prop. If it is for a weapons test then screw them. If they intend on telling the world they sank one of our carriers, well, the Jolly Rogers know their way around there and would probably be willing to play.
